All House League and Travel Team Families

Park Ridge Soccer Club Community,

Kickoff:
We are thrilled to officially kick off our 2024 fall season — both our recreational House League and competitive Travel Team leagues (YSSL for boys and IWSL for girls) successfully kicked off games last weekend! We have over 1,500 athletes participating this fall and love to see everyone out in force! Let’s all be great examples and role models for all of them.

The Outreach Program for Soccer:
Our TOPSoccer program is kicking off as well with a growing number of middle school / high school volunteer athletes who serve as buddies for the children with intellectual, emotional or physical challenges who play in this program. If you would like to get involved with this great community program, please reach out to Brit at BIverson@prsoccer.com

Thank You:
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank all our volunteers. As you know, Park Ridge Soccer Club is a 501(3)c non-profit organization. We are fueled by an incredible team of volunteers, from our house league coaches, division coordinators, directors, and board members. To all of you: THANK YOU, thank you, thank you for all that you do. Without you, none of this would be possible for our children.

Referees:
I'd also like to thank Jerry Aulisio, our referee coordinator. Many of the young people you see officiating are our homegrown referees! Jerry and his team work tirelessly to train and prepare them for this position, some of which is their first job!

Adult Conduct:
I want to reiterate the need to be good fans and coaches. We should focus on positive, encouraging feedback to all players, coaches and referees. These people are Park Ridge people. They are your friends, neighbors, classmates. Please treat them with calm respect. Let’s all do our best to make Park Ridge Soccer Club a positive and encouraging atmosphere for everyone involved. This applies to all House and Travel Programs.

Cheer on Our Own!
Join us as PRSC’s very own coach Michael Byron (current PRSC coach, former PRSC player) coaches the Maine South Freshman A team. Come out to see his team continue their winning season this Saturday at 10am on Wilson Field at Maine South! It is always helpful for kids to see how the game is played one or two levels above them.

“Socktober:”
Save the date of October 1st as we kickoff a month of fundraising, fun, and awareness. On 10/1 we will have a “Dine to Donate” night at Portillo’s in Niles. Portillo’s will be donating 20% of their sales to PRSC! In awareness and support of women who suffer through breast cancer, our PRSC Travel teams will be wearing PINK socks. Show your support! Look for more community events to come during the season.

Spirit Wear for Travel and House League:
Finally, I’m sure you have seen our logo all over town. Now you can rock it too! We have launched a new sprit wear site and you can purchase items here: new spiritwear site Items will be shipped directly to you, to help you wear the blue and orange and show your support for PRSC! This site is open to all who play PRSC.

THANK YOU to all our parents and community members for your help in making this fall season a success for all our athletes!

Let’s all respect the game…and each other!

Regards,
