1. Team Selection- Divide up applications into fairly matched teams. Number of teams should be an even number and include teams of 13-14 players. The following criteria for team selection are recommended;

a.  Keep parents that are coaching and their children playing in that league together.
b. Use previous season’s ratings and evaluations to fairly distribute players.
c. Grade level in school; make sure that there is a fair mix of each grade.
d. Special requests if the DC wished to accommodate.
e. School the player attends, some times it is nice to place more than one player on a team from the same school.

2. Coach selection- Based on the registration forms and spreadsheets assign head and assistant coaches. Take note which coaches have not been certified and notify them of the mandatory classes needed to coach soccer.

3. Rosters- Type up final team rosters and distribute to coaches at the coaches meeting and copy the Directors of the appropriate house leagues.

4. Communication- Establish a quick and easy flow of information to your coaches. Most prefer e-mail. Distribute to coaches your expectations for the season at the meeting. To aid with end of season standings, be sure that coaches are sending in game results and outstanding player information on a weekly basis. Ask them to copy DC on all results.

5. Team standings- Coaches should be sending in the weekly results to the PR website besides to the DC. It is helpful to keep a separate tally of results to check for accuracy and assist in final game match-ups.

6. Practice/Game management- Coordinate fields, dates and times for practices. Assist coaches with reschedules in result of cancellations due to weather or other unavoidable issues. Insure that field is open, net available and referee assigned.

7. Final Game/Match-up- Refer to rules and bylaws on separate sheet. (This is for junior leagues and up)

8. Medal/Trophy distribution- Make sure that each team receives the correct amount of medals, return all extras. Collect all ratings prior to medal distribution.

9. Uniform/Equipment distribution- Make sure that you have received all uniform size requests prior to first game and that coaches have picked them up from you. If equipment is needed for a team Bob S. should be contacted. We will determine how equipment collection will be handled by the end of season.

10. All Star Game- Information to follow. This is for Midget leagues and up.
