Thanks to everyone who came out for the U9 tryouts this year. We had a great bunch of kids and we appreciate all of their effort and enthusiasm.
TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROCESS, YOU MUST ATTEND AN ORGANIZATIONAL/ REGISTRATION MEETING. The meeting will be at the Olympic Room at the Oakton Ice Arena on Monday, June 14. Girls will meet from 6:00 – 7:00 pm and boys will meet from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Please read below for information about what you must bring to the meeting. All parents AND children MUST attend. If you are unable to attend, you must contact the Travel Director (see below).
A NOTE ABOUT TEAM SELECTION: Players are placed on teams on which our trainers feel they will have the most chance of success and development and where they will face an appropriate level of competition. All teams will receive the same high-quality training from professional trainers and have the same opportunities for developing their soccer skills and passion. Our goal is to provide the most positive experience possible for each child participating in the program.
Kids at this age develop their physical and mental skills and interest in soccer at widely varying paces. We encourage interaction between the different teams at each age level and expect players to move between teams from year to year as they develop at different rates.
WHAT TO BRING TO THE REGISTRATION MEETING:
• Proof of age…a photocopy of either a passport or birth certificate
• Completed Player Registration Form - IWSL for the Girls and YSSL for the Boys (download from PRS website)
• Emergency Medical Release & Liability Waiver form (download from PRS website)
• Copy (front and back) of your medical insurance card
• Check book – you will need to write checks for the player’s fees ($750) and uniform orders (amount varies).
