PRSC's travel program welcomes competitive players who love the game and want to reach their full potential.
For the 2023-24 season, tryouts will be held Monday, May 22nd through Wednesday, May 24th.
There are no longer rules specifying a specific time frame for tryouts -- they can now happen anytime. PRSC tryouts will continue to be held in late May. While some clubs are choosing to have their tryouts in April, we believe this causes unnecessary disruption and upheaval to teams that still have the majority of the Spring season to play. Players will continue to develop throughout Spring and a later tryout date allows us to recognize improvement and place children at the appropriate skill level.

When a player registers to accept a roster spot, payment is due, either in full or through our payment plan. Uniforms are typically about $120 with additional Spiritwear offered at a variety of prices.
Once a player has accepted a spot on a team and fees have been paid, there are no refunds given for any reason.
I don't live in Park Ridge, can I still play for PRSC?
Yes.
What should my son/daughter wear/bring to tryouts?
All players should wear shin guards and athletic or soccer shoes and bring water. Players should dress appropriately for the weather.
My son/daughter has a conflict with the tryout schedule, what should we do?
If it is not possible for you to attend the tryout scheduled for your age group, email our Travel Coordinator, Siobhan Haugh (shaugh@prsoccer.com).
How do I find out if my son/daughter made a team?
All rosters will be posted on our website shortly after your tryout date. You will receive an email when rosters are posted.
What should I expect at the tryout?
Players will participate in ball control, speed, and finishing activities. They will also participate in small-sided (3v3-5v5) games. Our Director of Coaching and our professional coaches will evaluate the players and place them on the team that is most appropriate for their development.
What do the coaches look for at the tryouts?
At younger ages (7-9 yrs old), coaches value effort, athleticism, and desire to learn. As players gain experience, we look for effort, athleticism, and desire to learn in combination with technical soccer ability and age-appropriate tactical understanding.
Are there tryouts for goalkeepers?
Yes. If you are interested in playing goalkeeper, please let our staff know at tryouts.
