TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association coaches and volunteers. This program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any child age 5 and up who has an intellectual disability or physical impairments. The goal is to enable young athletes with disabilities to become part of the US Youth Soccer family.
Why TOPSoccer?
TOPSoccer was formed to perpetuate the US Youth Soccer mission statement which is, in part, "to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition." There are thousands of children with disabilities who need, and can be provided with, the opportunity to play soccer through the TOPSoccer program.
PRSC TOPSoccer Sessions
The sessions are staffed by Park Ridge Soccer Coaches and Trainers and assisted by youth volunteer Buddies.
All new registrants will receive a PRSC TOPSoccer jersey.
Registrants must register online in advance in order to participate. As part of online registration, you will sign the IYSA medical release.
Volunteer Buddies must be at least 14 years old, and generally are selected from current PRSC/Premier SC players.
All volunteers over the age of 18 must complete SafeSport and a Background Check.
